Help needed!



The whole project is very delayed and has suffered so much from time wasters. Transmitters have been offered which have never come to light. Endless chasing and drawn out communication that never gets anywhere. Despite this studio equipment has been purchased along with coax and antenna parts. Further funding is in the process of being applied for.



Random low power tests at weekends are going ahead to resolve antenna issues.



If you know of any transmitter, it can be a MW or LW transmitter from 500 watts or more please get in touch. The radio station does not expect anything for free but the funding is minimal so please bear that in mind and I will be so grateful for help. Also I have contacted every old LW broadcaster to ask about transmitters and only one has offered at a price of 50,000 euros. This is not achievable or for that matter even financially reasonable.



What is also most needed is a matching unit and loading coil. If you have experience in LF transmission and can build these the help would be most gratefully received. In testing the SWR has been high at around 3 and not ideal.



Despite the poor equipment and antenna initial testing with low power gave very good results and conditions this far North in Winter allow for even a 500 watt transmission on LW to be heard nearly 3000 km away. The Arctic Winter LF/MF radio path (when conditions allow) extends into Greenland, Alaska, Canada and the West Coast of the US. Listeners in the far North of Scotland will also hear the transmissions.

Pitkistä puheenollen, asema toisensa jälkeen lopettaa, BBC lähettää vielä. Selenasta parhaillaan kuuntelen BBC4:sta ihan pelkällä ferriittiantennilla.

Mielenkiinnolla odotan, nouseeko Arctic Radio 252kHz pystyyn.

Valitettavasti Suomelle on varattu vain taajuus 252kHz.

Samalla reiällä lähettää Algerialainen megawatin teholla.
