Good conditions on 10/11/12 meter bands exist almost on daily basis, at least so far. That´s why I wonder why not arrange a sked, say on 10 meter band. Just now the beacon DL0IGI from Bavaria, Germany is audible here with RST 589/579 +/-QSB but no other traffic is audible, that´s a pity. I should like to point out that there have been rather good night time propagation conditions on 10m/12m bands recently.
On the other hand if you are a CB-operator perhaps a sked is possible on CB channels (AM,FM or SSB). You can propose a sked (preferably) here in this forum in order to get as much as possible stations on air. Of course you can drop an email too.

Re: 10m/11m/12m Sked
Tonight, on the 22nd of June, I shall CQ (on CW) on 10m ham band on 28028 kHz at 1930z onwards in order to explore whether some nighttime propagation modes and conditions exist. In the coming nights from Monday to Friday I shall start at 1900z. I shall use 50 Watts of carrier power fed into my IMAX-2000 for this is power level high enough providing relatively reliable daytime communications up to about 1500 km range. Of course this depends greatly on conditions.
So far I have not heard anyone else nor the 10m beacons these previous nights, however on 11m CB band there have been some DX stations audible. This means that on 10m band there *could* have been all the necessary conditions for some long distance or at least over-the-horizon QSOs.

Re: 10m/11m/12m Sked
Tonight on the 23rd of June there were stations from Slovenia, France, Germany and the U.K. (England) on air on 10 meter band, wonderful. Many thanks to the corresponding stations and those who (probably) monitored the QSO's. I think it was a wrong decision to load the washing machine and let it run while QSOing thus causing too much local QRM. The other difficulty was that my key ejected some spring (which I wasn't aware of before) and the key was after that rather lousy. Tomorrow on Tuesday the 24th at 1900z I shall call and monitor the 10m once again.

Re: 10m/11m/12m Sked
Actually I tuned my transmitter at about 1600z and I worked a Polish station from southern Poland. Just before 1930z I worked a French station from Bordeaux with relatively strong signal. Unfortunately despite good conditions very few stations from the zones where the signal propagated were on air tonight. Still trying some QSOs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 1900z each night.
By the way in this thread there are listed some frequencies where are good chanches or working Finnish ham stations.

Re: 10m/11m/12m Sked
Checking back the stations I worked from my logbook rom this past week the following countries are represented with at least two different stations. Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Slovenia, Austria, UK, Norway. Many thanks to the many corresponding stations. Remarkably I could not work any Estonian or Swedish stations perhaps due to the lack of propagation.
As one can expect there is a tendency that here in Finland the propagation creeps from east to west and finally north before the band closes (or stations themselves close). During this test I have not intentionaly tried to work these QSOs earlier in the evening nor later at night. Despite my intention is to study night time propagation. I assume that while being at the rising edge of the sunspot numbers we will have in the near future some extremely good night time openings with some long distance DX's on 10/11/12m bands.
My strong advice is that at this very point of our present solar cycle everyone capable of activating these magical bands of (6/)10/11/12m should activate his radios and himself no later than now in order to get most of this forthcoming maximum of this solar cycle.

Re: 10m/11m/12m Sked
Tonight I am going to call CQ on 10 meter band from 2100z onwards. Last night I had a nice QSO with a GM0-station from Aberdeen who used a vertical antenna too but a half wave one. Our signals were RST 559 both ways, perhaps a little bit QSB.

Tonight at 2000z I shall call cq on 28028 kHz +/- QRM, CW (A1A). Tomorrow on the 28th of July I shall call cq at 1900z onwards. Let's meet on 10 meters!
